Introduction
Gigabyte's RX30HM256DP features Radeon® X300 SE VPU with remarkable ATI HyperMemory™ technology, which features GIGABYTE's unique Turbo Force technology and makes more efficient use of all the available memory in computers with PCI Express® technology. Graphics applications can share system memory and use fast on-board memory for real-time processing between the graphics card and the computer's memory. This ultimately increases the affordability of ATI's RADEON® graphics technology. Additionally, the GV-RX30HM256DP-RH delivers enhanced visual quality and performance for today's and tomorrow's graphics-intensive digital photo and video applications, web-surfing and gaming. The Radeon® X300 SE fully supports the newest PC architecture standard – PCI Express® with the ability to send and receive data simultaneously at twice the speed of current AGP 8X solutions. What's more, the Radeon® X300 SE offers reliability, speed and graphics computing power.

SmoothVision™ 2.1
Technology provides new levels of image quality using state-of-the-art Anti-Aliasing (AA) and Anisotropic Filtering (AF) techniques. Anti-aliasing enhances image quality by smoothing jagged edges on object outlines. SmoothVision 2.1 uses an advanced multi-sampling technique that takes up to 6 samples per pixel, coupled with powerful loss-less compression technology for maximum efficiency and performance at any display resolution. Anisotropic filtering improves image quality by sharpening blurry textures to bring out finer detail. SmoothVision 2.1 employs an adaptive algorithm that takes from 1 to 16 filtered samples per pixel as required to achieve ideal quality, without wasting effort on parts of the image that would not benefit. Two modes allow this feature to be optimized for performance or image quality, as desired.

HyperMemory™
